May Meeting: Supply and Demand in the Age of GLP-1's – Ozempic, Wegovy, Mounjaro and Black Market Versions

Join us for our May meeting featuring Drs. Andy Hawkins and Paige Nolte, who will discuss the rapidly evolving landscape of GLP-1 medications, including supply challenges, clinical considerations, and the risks posed by black market versions of these popular weight loss and diabetes drugs.

About the Speakers

Andy Hawkins, MD is a Staff Physician at UVA Student Health and Wellness. He earned his BS in Biology from James Madison University (1998), his MD from Virginia Commonwealth University (2003), and completed his Family Medicine Residency and Chief Residency at UPMC Shadyside Hospital (2003-2007).

Paige Nolte, MD is a Staff Physician at UVA Student Health and Wellness. She holds a BS in Aerospace Engineering from Penn State (1993), earned her MD from Virginia Commonwealth University (2001), and completed her Internal Medicine and Pediatrics Residency at Brown University (2001-2005). Her clinical interests include primary care, general dermatology, mental health, and travel medicine.
